Morgan & Todd

Todd proposed to Morgan at the top of the Freedom Tower, overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. NYC has a special place in Morgan’s heart, holding some of her dearest childhood memories. Morgan and Todd also became the legal guardians of Morgan’s niece, Brooklyn, earlier that year. Before reaching the top of the tower, Todd was stopped by Security for his pocket knife... he was terrified they were going to confiscate the ring! As they looked out at the Brooklyn Bridge, Todd turned to Morgan and said, “They took my knife but didn’t take my glass cutter.” Morgan realized he was proposing, but still standing! She interrupted and said, “If you are not going to get down on your knee, then stop.” Todd said he was afraid to kneel on the heater vent and draw attention. After some convincing, he got down on one knee and they shared a kiss. A woman who witnessed the proposal came up to them and said she had taken a burst of photos on her phone. Morgan was thrilled to have the entire moment caught in pictures because she forced him to get on his knee! Their wedding was held at Soho63 in Chandler, with a theme of “Desert Elegance." The colors were grey, lavender, and sage with wooden accents. Glass votives and eucalyptus ran down the centers of the reception tables, which were arranged in an ‘X’ as an homage to Todd’s family (in every generation, a Newman has the initials ‘TEN’). It was an intimate gathering of 50 guests, all of whom Morgan and Todd were very close with. The couple was also very pleased with their vendor selection, particularly DePoy Studios, for capturing their vision for the engagement session and gorgeous wedding photography.
