1. How did you two meet or how did he propose?: Mike and I met at college at a gymnastics/baseball social. We spent all night talking and hanging out. Mike proposed to me while we were picnicking by the creek. We took a little stroll down by the creek and stopped to look at the amazing scenery when he got down on one knee. Sedona holds a special place in our hearts. Its where we fell in love, where we got engaged, and where we got married.
2. How did you find your venue? Were you happy with it?: We heard about the venue from Renee Johnson. We asked her about wedding venues in Sedona and she mentioned The Agave of Sedona. We were extremely happy with the venue. It was everything we could have imagined and more. Wendy does an absolutely amazing job at Agave.
3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: I used a morrocan theme to help choose my colors and help give me ideas for my decorations. I didn't plan everything around that theme though. I really liked the jewel tones that are often found in the Morrocan decorations. I wanted something to stand up to the beauty of the red rocks but not take away from that as well. Our table settings were simple but absolutely perfect. They included a lantern of all different colors and shapes, 1-2 colored glass bottles that were representing the jewel tones. There was some gold mixed in as well. They were simple but perfect.
4. What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day?: Enjoy the planning process and have fun because it goes by fast so take in every moment and don't take anything for granted. This is the best time of your life!
