1. How did you two meet or what was the proposal like?: We met at Isabellas Kitchen(owned by Grayhawk Golf Club), we worked together and had a lot of mutual friends. The proposal was perfect. I am a little bit on the shy side and do not like to be the center of attention. Ryan knew that so his planning couldn't have been more our style. We were visiting my family in the Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. We had gone for a long golf cart right and were heading back to make a nice dinner with my parents. (*note, my parents are retired and love to RV at this beautiful campsite there, so hence the golf cart ride!) Ryan wanted to take a picture with us and my parents puppy. That is when I saw something shiny on the dogs collar. And the rest is history, after a heartfelt speech! All while my step dad was videoing the entire proposal!!
2. Were you happy with the venue?: Absolutely, I'd pick Grayhawk golf club over and over again, everything was beautiful and turned out perfectly!
3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: We had an elegant and semi rustic wedding theme with ivory, gray, and mauve wedding colors. I planned and executed majority of the wedding myself, but the florals I completely left up to my florist. So for my table settings, we did a sweetheart table, with two wine barrels(I stained and cleaned these myself), and greenery. Each table was a little unique, with a nice mixture of some tables with smaller floral bouquets, and some tables with more pillar candle displays. We also had a sweet treats table, where we had a custom small cake for cutting, and crumbl cookies catered all the rest of the mini cookies.
4. What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day? My biggest piece of advice would be to take lists of everything you need to get done and slowly check things off. If you wait, it all becomes overwhelming. My other big piece of advice would be to really take in the entire day. I had a glorious day with my mom and bridesmaids and really just didnt think about how the setup or decor was coming along. I had full faith it would work, which took a ton of stress off my plate.
