Claire and Matthew

1. How did you two meet or how did he propose?: We met at a neighborhood bar, Teakwood’s. Claire used to work as a hostess and Matt’s family were regulars. Over time, and thanks to some pressure from Matt’s family to make a move, we started dating. Then eight happy years later Matt proposed and we got married!

2. Were you happy with the venue?: Absolutely, we loved everything about The Antique Wedding House. The property is quaint and romantic, fit for a wedding party of any size. Our favorite feature was the spacious, covered pavilion- a perfect combination of indoors and outdoors.

Michele and the wedding staff did a fantastic job organizing the event and making sure all transitions ran smoothly. Also, the food was incredible and our guests told us repeatedly how much they enjoyed the mac and cheese!

Our modest budget took us above and beyond expectations at the Antique Wedding House, we could not have been more pleased.

3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: We kept the colors for our wedding subtle and natural, as to not distract from the true meaning of the day. Our table arrangements were dark gray table clothes with a cream lace overlay; complimented by the floral arrangements of deep greenery, seasonal white flowers, and for a pop of color, purple succulents.

4. What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day? A friend of mine told me, “don’t share all the secrets of your event with everyone, that way if you need to make any last-minute changes no one will be confused or disappointed”.

Also, take your time planning. Your wedding will end up being perfect, so make sure you enjoy the big day as well as the journey.
