How did you two meet or how did he propose? We met in summer 2003 when I came to Arizona from Washington state to visit family. We dated for 4 years long distance then parted ways till 2010 when I moved to Arizona and we reconnected. He proposed on a family cruise vacation on the deck at the captains dinner.
Were you happy with the venue? Our venue was absolutely stunning! Besides the amazing veiws I choose it because they allow you to pick out your own vendors and decorations. The staff was so kind and always easy to get a hold of.
Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: I suppose I would have to say my theme was burlap & lace. I tried to incorporate both in to just about every aspect of the wedding. It was a very Pinterest inspired wedding. As any newly engaged girl I took to Pinterest for inspiration and found more then enough ideas! My amazing wedding volunteers of family and friends helped me make all the table decorations. I kept to my burlap and lace very simple.
What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day? I would advise that you don't sweat the small stuff! Most of what you are stressing over is the things people won't really even notice. Also, I stongly suggest looking into what you can make your self! One of the best memories from my wedding experience was getting a bunch of family and friends together for a DIY night with drinks and snacks and making all of my decorations. And finally, Budget by whats most important to you! The three things I wanted to make sure was amazing was the venue, the food, and of course the photos!
Tell us about your photographer. Why did you choose this photographer? Were you happy with the whole experience? When looking for a photographer I started by going through the local wedding magazines and looking at the different styles of photographs. When I saw Tara Keators photo I immediately was hooked. I needed her! I visited her website and was literally speachless. Every photo she had was stunning. I almost was in a panic because someone this amazing has to be hard to book. Although so busy she made me feel like I was her number one client. Always easy to get a hold of and just as excited as me to capture our memories! There wasn't one moment she didn't capture! On top of being an amazing photographer she is such a kind person. She is simply the best.
