Brittany & Jase

Aldea Landmark Real Wedding

We fell in love working at a country club in Amarillo, TX. I was a server and he a bartender. We caught each others eye’s across the room, and we’ve never looked back! We acquired a perfect companion in our dog Tykko, whom everyone loves, and grew to know each other better. After 2 years of dating, we jumped upon a great adventure, and found ourselves in Alaska working at the foot of Denali. After 3 years of friends, work and bears, we moved to Chandler, AZ. I worked on building my career, while Jase worked on finishing up school. Which led us to where we currently reside, here in Tucson, AZ. Engagement: Jase heard about a nice trail through Mt. Lemmon and decided that hiking would be a great start to living in Tucson. So we packed a backpack with water and snacks, kissed Tykko goodbye, and drove up the mountain for a fun day together. To my surprise, we were greeted by Laura and Isaac Reed (great friends that we met in Alaska) at a lookout called ‘Windy Point.’ Laura and Isaac told me that they were asked by Jase to surprise me for the day. Windy Point provided a beautiful picturesque view, so we walked to the mountain side to soak it up and before I knew it, Jase was down on one knee.
We were married at The Landmark and were very happy!  Landmark was very helpful in setting our vision in motion. They treated us like a King and Queen. We kind of pieced together different ideas into the theme of our wedding. We had cacti to celebrate living here in Arizona, used geometric shapes, and had gold and ivory color throughout for more of a romantic/vintage feel. I even made a wooden hexagon as a type of arch for our backdrop. For the tables, it was more of the same: golden hurricanes, ivory table clothes, and eucalyptus/lavender flowers.
I think brides should trust and allow your Wedding Planner/Maid of Honor to take charge that day. They have your best interests in mind and want nothing more than to give you and your Groom the best wedding. Also, when things do go wrong that day, just laugh it off. At that point it won’t matter and it has become something of a funny memory for me and my husband.
