A Real Wedding at SoHo63

How did you two meet or how did he propose?: The proposal was amazing. Dominick gathered up and framed some of the best photos we had taken over the four years we had dated and divided them into different categories such as vacations, family moments, friend moments, etc. Each of them had a story with them that he had written about our journey together. I walked outside of our home to find them placed throughout our neighborhood on a scavenger hunt that led to a candlelit walkway and him standing there with a sign that said “will you be my wife?” A three string quartet was there with him playing all of our favorite songs.

Were you happy with the venue?: I don’t even think happy would describe how we felt about Soho63. From our very first meeting there, to the conclusion of our ceremony, everything that involved the team at Soho was flawless. The venue was stunning, the staff was kind and incredibly helpful, and everything was literally perfectly executed. You always hear brides saying how something they planned didn’t happen or turn out how they had hoped. Six months later I can truthfully say that I don’t have any of those feelings!

Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: We wanted our wedding to be very soft and romantic. Since it was a spring wedding, we went with a blush and champagne color scheme and added touches of sparkle here and there. Candlelight was also a big piece of our décor! Our tables were set with sparkled gold numbers and had blush and cream flowers in different mercury vases with small votive candles.

What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day?: Get a videographer! Blake at Soho63 so kindly yet strongly suggested it and we didn’t take her advice. Our photographer was absolutely incredible but there are some moments that would have been amazing to have on video. Make it fit into your budget!
