1. How did you two meet or how did he propose?: Ryan really surprised me when he proposed. A bunch of our friends and family were in on this huge plan he created, which involved proposing on stage at Jesterz Improv in a pre-planned skit. It was super sweet and a complete surprise.
2. Were you happy with the venue?: We absolutely love Villa Siena. It's like nothing you'd expect to find in Arizona, as far as a wedding venue look - very European feeling. It's gorgeous inside, outside, all around, and the people you work with are fantastic.
3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: Our wedding theme was "Welcome to Wonderland" with a Mad Hatter tea party kind of vibe. We wanted everyone to feel like they were a part of this big, fun adventurous wedding party. Our colors were black, white, gold, with various shades of purple and pink. Our table settings were mix and match round and long tables with black and white linens, lots of flowers and candles, and little jam jars we made using my sister-in-laws strawberry jam recipe.
4. What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day? Schedule in time just for the two of you. It'll be a busy day, but it'll make a world of difference. We set aside a solid 45 minutes during the dinner reception for us to just sit there, enjoy the great food, and talk about all the exciting things that had happened that day. It was so relaxing and we both felt like it helped slow the day down. Nothing felt rushed and we really got to take it all in, after all of the hard work.
