Michael and Caitlin met in sixth grade and became very good friends. They went to middle and high school together, but never dated! When they finally started dating, Caitlin surprised Michael at his Marine Corps. boot camp graduation. Michael officially asked Caitlin to be his girlfriend at a resort in Phoenix, the same place he asked Caitlin to be his wife. Venue at the Grove was an easy choice for their wedding. The location was just down the street from their high school, and they were able to tour the venue at one of their open houses. Caitlin was drawn to the fact it wasn't your typical desert setting, with lush greenery in the midst of a 2.5-acre pecan grove. The ladies they worked with were so helpful and provided a clear timeline of everything that needed to be done. The color theme was blush pink, navy, and ivory. Table decorations were simple with ivory tulle table runners, seeded eucalyptus with candles, and small floral center pieces. Place cards were made with leftover leaves and pink wax flowers.
