For Sallie’s birthday, Woody took her to his family’s lakeside cabin in Munds Park, Arizona. Sallie’s birthday is in January, so the weather was very cold! They left after Woody got home from work on Saturday morning. During the drive up, Woody was talking nonstop. and Sallie thought maybe he was amped up on caffeine. When they arrived at the house, Woody told Sallie that his family went to Flagstaff for lunch, so they settled in and made coffee. Woody said that he wanted to enjoy his coffee out on the deck. Normally, Sallie would have gone with, but because it was freezing out, she said “No.” After some convincing, Sallie joined him on the deck, where there were rose pedals leading all the way to the apex overlooking the frozen lake. Sallie looked at Woody, realizing something was up. Woody was shifting his weight anxiously before he got down on one knee and proposed. She was so in shock she doesn’t remember a word of what he said! Nor if she responded other than kissing him. Woody’s parents, sister, and sister’s boyfriend were inside the house recording and taking pictures! The couple got married at Van Dickson Ranch in Skull Valley, Arizona. The bridesmaids wore black dresses and red shoes while the groomsmen wore red ties. The wedding decor consisted of rustic, antique silver tea pots, lanterns, mason jars, picture frames, and wooden slabs. There was lots of lace, burlap and greenery incorporated with succulents and warm-colored floral. The couple was very happy to have Brooke Photography photograph the wedding, capturing the whole aura of the day in true, genuine photography.
