A Real Wedding at Val Vista Lakes

1. How did you two meet: Mark and I are a Match.com success. We met for a drink and it turned into dinner. Mark asked for a second date within the first hour of our first date. While on our second date, we both agreed to take our profiles off of the Match web site.

2. How did he propose?: Our proposal was very sweet. I had been gone all day. When I walked in the door, Mark had my favorite wine open. He had been cooking a wonderful meal all day. Fillet, Lobster Mac-n-Cheese, and Crab Legs. He told me not to get too full because he had a special dessert. When it was time, he brought in a cake box and set it down in front of me. When I opened the box, the cake said "Will You Marry Me? The ring was placed right on the cake!

3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception: My colors were Sage green, Champagne and Black. We had a winery type theme. I used wine barrels for the alter and wine bottles and wine corks for the table numbers and name place cards. The guests signed a wine barrel as our guest book and we now have it as a decoration in our family room.

4. What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day: Have fun while planning. Don't spend too much time on Pinterest , you can't do it all. Make sure you book the most important things first, the Venue, Officiant and Photographer . If you have it in your budget , have a videographer. It's fun to watch all of the things you missed because the day goes by so quick. Take a deep breath and enjoy your special day.
