Romantic Outdoor Wedding


1. How did you two meet or what was the proposal like?
Myles planned our monthly date night as a 4-mile hike at a state park near our homes. We brought my dog, Bentley, and ended the evening with a picnic dinner by the lake. After dinner, Myles proposed—with his phone recording the moment. A kayaker paddled up to us after seeing us from across the lake and took some photos from another angle. It was perfect!

 2. Were you happy with the venue?
We were incredibly happy with Agave of Sedona! We were looking for a romantic and airy vibe where we could have dinner outdoors against the backdrop of the red rocks. Agave more than delivered on our vision, offering incredible red rock views. Our guests were amazed by the flow of the venue and the stunning scenery.

 3.  Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:
We chose to have dinner outside on Agave’s patio so our guests could enjoy the red rock views. Our colors were a mix of light blue and silver. Some of the special touches on the tablescape included a scratch-off lottery ticket, a personalized cookie, and table numbers featuring pictures of us at that specific age.

 4.  What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?
The best piece of advice we can give is to enjoy the day and stay by your partner’s side throughout it all. Time flies by! We have so many amazing memories from our wedding day that we’ll cherish forever.
