1. How did you two meet or what was the proposal like?:
We met at a bar called Valle Luna where Ashley was working as a cocktail server. Adam was a customer and asked her if she would like to get a drink when her shift ended. We had one drink together then went on our second date roughly 2 weeks later! The rest is history!
He proposed on Christmas Eve night with just my mom, dad and sister present. It was a complete surprise to me and my entire family. He asked my dad's permission to propose minutes before doing it. It was so personal and intimate I loved everything about it!
2. Were you happy with the venue?:
We searched for a venue we both loved and Pioneer History Museum was it! We loved that it had plenty of space for people to spread out and that we had multiple back drops to choose from. We ended up getting married in the little white chapel which was breathtaking and needed very little decorations. We had our reception in the Livery which was an outdoor barn area, the staff was absolutely amazing and the food was DELICIOUS!
3. Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:
The color scheme for our wedding was navy, burgundy, and gold. For my center pieces I went to Goodwill's and got all different sized glassware to place little tealight candles in the middle floating on water. Then, I put greenery around the middle with gold charger plates and table numbers.
4. What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?
Spread it out over time! I was much less stressed due to making sure I was doing the planning over a period of time and not trying to cram it all in. By the time I got to the day of I didn't have anything to worry about other then getting to the alter on time and not freaking out internally :)! Remember to stop and enjoy the day that you worked so hard to plan for and take a moment to truly enjoy the moment together!
