The couple had traveled to Maui, HI for a vacation, the night before they arrived, Scott surprised Nicole with a private dinner, during sunset—overlooking the beach at their resort. The sun was just starting to set and Scott suggested they pose for a photo together (which the bride mentioned was a rare request on Scott’s part). During the pose, while the server was getting ready to take the shot, Scott gets down on one knee, pulls out a ring, and asks Nicole to marry him! All while, the server was actually videoing instead of taking a photo! She said, YES! of course and the rest is history with this desert real wedding!
Nicole and Scott chose to have their wedding at the Desert Botanical Gardens as they loved the desert landscape and wanted a venue that was outside for all of their out of town guests to enjoy.
They chose to use a mixture of corals and grey with wooden accents as their color scheme. They wanted their wedding to feel intimate and rustic and capture the beauty of the desert. On the tables the floral designer dei-zinz fresh studio designed half of the tables to be decorated with mercury glass bowls with coral and peach roses, assorted succulents on wooden slabs. The other half was designed using brown rustic lanterns on wooden slabs with embellishments of eucalyptus and succulents!
The advice Nicole would give to other brides planning their wedding is: “Take a moment to take it all in, the day seriously goes by so fast. Plus, you never know when you will have all your friends & family in the same place again!”
