SEDONA ROMANCE. Our latest cover hits newsstands this week, with a breathtaking backdrop of Sedona red rocks! Agave of Sedona Wedding & Event Center is one of the premier wedding locations in Sedona, with unparalleled panoramic views of this magnificent red rock beauty! Brooke Stevens-Patrick, of Brooke Photography, artfully captured the theme of our shoot: "Sedona Romance", which was impeccably styled by Nicole Arend of Nicole Arend Weddings & Events. A special Thank You to Tony Medlock, of PJ's Flowers & Events, for the gorgeous floral design of the shoot. Read on for more information about the design inspiration that brought this set together!
You might say that Nicole Arend of Nicole Arend Weddings & Events had a little extra design assistance when she staged this stunning photo shoot at Agave of Sedona Wedding & Event Center. Her inspiration came from Sedona’s legendary red rocks and the venue’s breathtaking outdoor Ceremony Terrace that offers unobstructed views that frame them perfectly.
COMPLEMENTARY COLORS Rather than trying to compete with the red rocks, Nicole wisely played off of them by choosing a color palette of burgundy and soft whites and pearls with touches of gold. Tony Medlock of PJ’s Flowers & Events brought those colors to life with his lush, natural arrangements bursting with burgundy peonies, Finesse roses, apricot stock and red hanging amaranthus. The watercolor floral accents Kerri Sydell of Nora Belle Designs added to her burgundy and white invitations gave guests a sneak peek of what was to come.
CHEERS! Instead of merely arranging the escort cards on a table, Nicole cleverly attached each diamond-shaped card to a champagne flute. What a bubbly way to welcome guests! Mini bottles of champagne tied with burgundy satin bows served as party favors and were set on a burgundy sequined table cloth that sparkled just like the champagne.
SITTING PRETTY Nicole created a welcoming seating area with an ivory Province-style sofa and matching chairs. She then made this inviting space even cozier by adding burgundy and gold pillows. (Can you tell which one we love the most?) The beautiful French doors frame even more red rock views and provide guests with easy (and beautiful!) access to the shaded, semi-enclosed ceremony site.
