HighSchool Sweethearts at SOHO63

Bailey & AJ

Bailey and AJ started dating their Junior year of high school.  They continued their relationship long distance when they both left for college.  Bailey attend University of Arizona and AJ the Air Force Academy.   AJ proposed in the backyard of Bailey’s childhood home, where he decorated it with lights, flowers and high school memorabilia while their families were watching live from a GoPro inside the house!

Bailey and AJ chose SoHo63 as their wedding venue.   They loved everything about the venue especially the staff.   They said; “Jessica and the whole team worked continuously to ensure our entire day was perfect. Every email and question I had throughout the planning process was responded to promptly. As the wedding quickly approached SoHo63 staff would check in on me to ensure I was feeling good about the timeline and getting ‘to dos’ checked off when they needed to be.  I would recommend SoHo63 again and again, they made our special day feel like the most important date in their books.”

They wanted a simple and elegant military wedding, which made the color scheme easy to choose.  Their colors were navy with gold accents. The tables had classic white florals and navy linens with gold accented decor such as gold chargers and votives.  The room was set with amber lighting to create a warm and elegant space. The groomsmen wore simple black tuxedos or the military mess dress, while the bridesmaids wore elegant matte shimmer dresses.

The best advice Bailey would give to other brides planning their big day is; “Wedding planning can seem both daunting and stressful. Break up the to do list and plan to check only a few things off each day. One of the best things I did to manage stress and enjoy the planning process was to have ‘detox’ days where you don’t talk about the wedding, plan or check off ‘to dos’.”
