The Engagement Story
It was another weeknight when I got home from work and noticed a note around our puppy's collar. The note was a sweet compliment leading me to another part of the house. It took a few notes of compliments and clues before I realized I was on a scavenger hunt for something. The hunt led me to my engagement ring cleverly hidden in my favorite movie, The Notebook. Jacob got down on one knee and of course I said, “Yes”!

Fun Little Details

It was important for this bride and groom to incorporate their personalities into the wedding details. Jacob’s love for shoes, inspired him to design the men’s shoes for the wedding. Kelli used extra material from her wedding dress to make pocket squares for the groom and both their fathers.

The Color Scheme
Kelli and Jacob chose black and white as their main color scheme. They wanted their accent colors to come from natural things. The table linens were black with a white paisley print. The centerpieces were in small square glass vases filled with limes at the bottom and an assortment of hot pink and lime green florals. The head table had a vase for the bridesmaids to place their bouquets. The vases were tied with a black ribbon with each girl’s name written on it.

Advice For Future Brides
The most important tip Kelli has for future brides is to make it your very own, and do whatever is important to you and your fiancé. You will get plenty of advice from people who love you, but ultimately it is your day and should be just as you and your fiancé have envisioned it.
