Our family was an incredible help and support and made my wedding theme and decorations immaculate. Shout out to Mahendra Patel (father of bride) and Shailja Amin (brides cousin)
How did you two meet or how did you propose?:
Ricky and I were introduced by my best friend. My best friend was his preceptor in his last rotation for pharmacy school. My best friend only had great things to say about him and became the perfect Cupid. We happened to cross paths on Chicago's famous street Michigan Ave., and after that had a few dates here and there leading to a marriage three years later.
How did you find your venue? Were you happy with it?:
My mom and dad worked hard to find a venue for our wedding! My parents had narrowed it down to two venues. When I went to visit the doubletree and Danny, I knew it was the perfect resort for us. It's amazing foliage and nature appeal as well as Danny hooked me in. Danny was very genuine and incredibly supportive about my decisions, he definately made it easy to pick the Doubletree resort.
Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:
The theme of my wedding was enchanted forest. With cranberry reds, pinks, and dusty blues my wedding mandap was magical! Table tops etc. with the help of my planners and family made my wedding decorations to die for! It was a whimsical weekend that felt greater than any other fairytale! The reception center pieces were a combination of three different pieces. Each had its own appeal and Melissa with Table Tops did a great job creating them!
What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?:
Whenever you pick any vendor, make sure you feel a connection. When you feel that connection you'll put all trust into that vendor and so on your day you won't feel stressed and will know everything is in good hands.
