How did you two meet or how did you propose?:
Luke and I met in August of 2009 while I worked the front desk at a medical center in Gilbert. He would walk by the main entry way delivering medical supplies to other offices in the building yet none to our staff or providers. So one day I smiled and waved for him to come over to the desk, my only intention was to ask him his name out of curiosity. He was very nice and sarcastically charming - very tall & handsome. Little did I know just one question would be the beginning of a lifetime, 'hey you...come over here, so - what's your name?' It ended up being the sentence to start the beginning chapter of our life together....

Were you happy with the venue?:
After a few bridal expos and multiple hours researching online and asking friends for suggestions, we met a personable sales rep for Tempe Embassy suites at the women's expo. I honestly never thought it would be an affordable way to have a wedding. My brother was married at a hotel in 2007 and all I remembered was how expensive it was!! We decided to go tour and get prices at Tempe Embassy Suites and realized it was the best choice for us. The hotel reception area was classy and the outside ceremony area was what I wanted, green and with white chairs & an arch for us to decorate. We also loved that the food was going to be done by them which allowed a flexible menu selection to meet our preference and budget. The best thing about having our wedding day at Embassy Suites Tempe is that it was close to home, it included a bridal suite for us to stay the night in and separate areas for the bridal parties to get ready on the day of wedding. The staff was amazing, very professional. Our out of town guest received discounted room rates & free breakfast. Our favorite person to work with was the sales manager, Gretchen Murray. She made sure our wedding day was special and even gave us great ideas for planning.

Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:
I went with a classy black and white damask print with watermelon color as the accent color. Used ivory candles And alternated the tables with a floral arrangement vase center piece. Also my mother in law made table runners with damask print to dress up the white table clothes and mirror center piece provided by venue.

What piece of advice would you give other couples planning their big day?:
Remember to have fun, be creative and let your family & friends give suggestions - they have great ideas. Appreciate your family & friends for all their help & support. Be sure to remember it's the grooms day as well and get his input and music selection ahead of time :)

Also if you have kids - have activities planned the day of so bridal party can relax & get ready. Plan their nap time! Our daughter, Kaila was very tired by the time reception started & she didn't get to spend much time with us and my parents left early to take her home for bedtime.
