How did you two meet or how did he propose?:
We meet 20 years ago at the country bar The Corral. Our eyes had locked and his smile melted my heart! It had turned out we went to the same high school. He was 3 years older so we didn't go at the same time but it turned out we had several friends in common. We dated for approximately a year and then he moved out of state. Thru the years we would always run into each other but the timing was never right. Five plus years ago when FB was becoming popular I had searched for him but he wasn't on. Six months after that he sent me a friend request and the timing was finally right for both of of us!
Were you happy with the venue?:
I was extremely happy with the Venue at Grayhawk. They made my wedding day more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and Lauren made it so beautiful, smooth and organized. She took all my stress away so that we could enjoy our special day! Grayhawk was the most beautiful place to get married.
Describe the theme or color scheme of your wedding, and what you chose for your table setting at the reception:
We went with Simply Elegant which did all the decorating and flowers. Using them was one of the best decisions we made with our wedding planning. It took all the stress away and our wedding was defiantly elegant. Our wedding colors were black, red, and silver. Our center pieces were large clear vases with a silver tree branch. Attached to each branch were small votives and roses that hung down.
What piece of advice would you give other brides planning their big day?:
Four of the most important things is venue, decorating, DJ, and your hair/make-up artist. Choosing a great venue. They basically were in charge of everything coming together and you want someone that you can trust will do the job right. Hiring one company to do flowers and decorating. It really took all the stress away. Have a DJ that is going to make it a fun reception. We still get compliments on how beautiful and fun our wedding was! And last but not least hire someone to do your hair and make up. It's a special day and they make you look and feel so beautiful!
