We are planning a fairly large wedding and we are wondering what to do if our family doesn't come through with the money they promised?

This is one of the few times where it is not inappropriate to ask about money. You could ask your parents to send payments directly to the vendors. (Show them a payment schedule). Or, you could plan a meeting to go over the budget and ask for deposits for some of your vendors. Always have a back up plan in case certain monetary gifts don't come through. Think of what you could take out of the budget and make sure your contract allows you to do this. Start saving money in case someone changes their mind or reneges.

Make sure you have a backup plan. See if the venue will allow you to have a tent in reserve or see what their contingency plan is.

I am terrified that my flower girl will have a temper tantrum mid-ceremony. What should I do to avoid this?
Dear Bride,
Try not to choose a young flower girl. Three years olds can typically be difficult. If you already have chosen a flower girl who is younger then four, ask her mom or a close friend meet her at the altar with a toy or small gift and them whisk her to her parents for the duration of the ceremony.

Can I include my dog in my wedding party?
Dear Bride,
If the ceremony site is okay with dogs, there is no reason why your dog shouldn't be a part of your wedding day. In fact, including dogs has become so popular that doggie bow ties, wreaths, leashes, and even ring pillows that you attach to the dog's back are available. Don't forget food, a water bowl, paper towels and an exit plan in case things get difficult.
