wedding details
We always love it when Mother Nature works her magic to provide a breathtaking backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. All it took was one glance at the sparkling blue waters of Camelback Lake for Ashley Gain of Ashley Gain Weddings & Events to be inspired to create this elegant wedding that she staged at Millennium Resort Scottsdale McCormick Ranch.

Ashley played off the color of the lake to create a clean, sophisticated blue-and-white design. This is definitely one case where less is more. The elements all wisely come together to complement the lake and mountain views instead of trying to compete with them. Just look at the simple elegance of the round white floral arrangements standing tall in their in their see-through vases. They’re perfectly placed atop pillars wrapped in luxurious blue and white fabrics.
We also know how much our brides love bling, so this wedding design absolutely sparkles with lots of crystals and gems. Did you notice the pearls and elegant detail on the four-tiered sapphire fondant wedding cake? And the chairs and centerpieces are literally dripping with crystals! Look closely and you’ll also see the jeweled detail on the bride’s bouquet. It plays beautifully off of the “something blue” of her necklace and earrings. Even simple blue-and-white candies look so much sweeter when they’re displayed in sparkling glass canisters.
For the table setting, the sapphire crushed velvet linens add luxury and texture while bringing the color of the lake indoors. The menus and place cards are also done in sapphire, and they really pop against the elegant white dinnerware. The chargers add a touch of silver with their freeform textured design. And did you know that napkins can wear jewelry, too? Just look at the dazzling detail on the jeweled napkin rings.
“Glam” was the word of the day for this photo shoot, so Ashley styled her bride to look like royalty. Her regal up do and sparkling accents on her dress are absolutely fit for a princess.
“Ultimately, there are no limitations when a bride plans her wedding,” Ashley says. “She can use anything for inspiration.” As you see here, it can even be something as simple as a shimmering blue lake.
